ABSTRACT
Come up with a theme and design a realistic looking box using scans and photographs of objects and then create an illusion of a box
I went with a religious / spiritual route to play with (so to speak) I utilized my Photoshop skills to create light and shadow illusions, smoke, and burn effects
The symbolisms of the design are endless and I'd like to leave them open for interpretation
CONCEPT

HOLE
THE IDEA WAS TO HAVE A HOLE OR A BREAK FOR THE SMOKE TO COME OUT
SMOKE
CAREFULLY SMUDGED LAYERS OF WHITE SMOKE TO CREATE A REALISTIC SMOKE EFFECTS
SHADOWS
MANUALLY APPLIED SHADOWS TO CREATE THE ILLUSION OF DEPTH
BURNING
EFFECTS WERE APPLIED
TIME
WAS A CHOICE TO USE AS A TITLE
so, it's hypothetical. TIME, if you're
reading this, hire me.
ARTICLE
TALKS ABOUT A STRUGGLE WITH RELIGION AND SPIRITUALITY WHICH GOES WELL WITH THE SYMBOLISM OF THE DESIGN
FIRE
CONSTRUCTED USING SEVERAL LAYERS OF LIGHT AND WARM COLORS
ABSTRACT
Designing a cover for Aperture magazine using blending techniques and incorporating
conceptual imageries.
Was that a dream? Is the rhetorical question that I ask myself after every design session that involves blending visual arts, especially abstract photography. I integrated horror, mystical elements, and simplicity with typography to create this Aperture cove.
